Job Requirement:
The applicant will be serving in a technical leadership role for a mission critical facility with extensive IT and OT networking requirements. This position will require Subject Matter Expert level skills and experience in routing and switching protocols using CISCO and other network equipment. This role is expected to know how to architect and solution, implement and troubleshoot various enterprise and wide-area networks, customer end-use premises equipment and Ethernet networks through hands-on experience in the field and in-house. Candidate should have excellent communication skills and a passion for networking.
Job Responsibilities:
• experience as a Network OT Architect
• Minimum 10 years of experience with extensive networking knowledge, Ethernet, TCP/IP, OSI model, routing and switching is required.
• Windows and Linux skills
• Experience with network switching, such as configuring and turning-up ports, VLANs tagging and familiarity with spanning tree or Ethernet Automatic Protection Switching (EAPS) is desired.
• Experience setting up and managing networks (wired and wireless) for both indoor and outdoor access.
• Must have certification as a Cisco Certified Intranetwork Engineer (CCIE) with CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure or CCIE Data Center, or Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE).
• Prior experience in leadership role such as a solutions architect or network architect is preferred.
• Assist in the design, install, maintenance, configure, and upgrade of Ethernet communications systems and network hardware (e.g. MUXs, hubs, routers, switches, cabling, backup systems, interface cards, printers, modems, etc.) and networking software (Cisco IOS) to ensure the network is running at optimal performance levels.
• Able to use diagnostic tools such as WireShark, packet capture and tracing software.
• Assist in the communication of technical assistance and information to customers.
• Assist in the design, installation, and maintenance of the wide-area network monitoring system and assist with the configuration of cybersecurity tool sets as they relate to the network infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of carrier provided circuits, such as T1, MPLS, Metro Ethernet, Ring Topology and network interfaces, such as NIDs and SMF. Also understand optical circuits such as DWDM, Waves and Ethernet over fiber.
