Locked up for his non-commitment to Sing Sing, Divine G finds purpose by performing in a theater group with other incarcerated men in this story of perseverance, humanity, and the transformative power of art. The actors rehearse the film in various parts of the play. These are actual audition tapes used to make the film. The group is criticized for not doing comedy, but their previous play was A Midsummer Night’s Dream, which is a comedy. Late Night with Seth Meyers: Anna Faris/Colman Domingo/Jose Medeles (2024). Rating: 8.7 Overall, a powerful film that shows that inmates are human despite their flaws, as the film uses the graduates of Sing Sing’s RTA program to deliver this powerful message of redemption, all led by a great performance from Colman Domingo.
