Job title: ERP Analyst(PeopleSoft Financials systems)

ABOUT THE ROLE
Information Systems & Services (ISS) is looking for a ERP Analyst with documentation and testing experience in support of PeopleSoft Financials systems.
This position is primarily responsible for business analysis, functional/technical documentation and test planning of DGS’ PeopleSoft Financials system utilized by DGS Fiscal Services. This person will work closely with a small team of technical analysts and financial officers as DGS works to streamline both the security and the operations of its PeopleSoft Financials system. The selected candidate in this position will work closely with stakeholders, Fiscal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and DGS, Information Systems and Services (ISS) development teams. The ERP Analyst will report to the ISS Project manager. This position should expect to work 40 hours per week.
Required Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-Experience in system design and development, with a focus on process improvement and business and technical requirements gathering
-Experience with PeopleSoft Financials
-Experience documenting workflow processes
-Experience developing test plans, use cases, and performing quality assurance validation, user acceptance testing, and regression testing
-Experience in the development of training materials and conducting user training
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills –The successful candidate should be a self-starter with the ability to drive work to completion.
Preferred Experience:
-Specific experience with General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Purchasing (functionality limited to storing POs and Receipts for matching), Accounts Receivable, Billing and Asset Management for Lease Administration.
-Project experience with COV projects.
Specific Tasks may include:
-Documenting changes to PeopleSoft processes
-Documenting PeopleSoft configurations
-Documenting business workflows related to PeopleSoft
-Preparing user and technical documentation
-Developing test plans
-Working with customer SMEs and project team to develop business requirements in response to requests for systems enhancements, modifications, and newly identified business initiatives.
-Working with ISS technical team and vendors to ensure requirements are incorporated into systems design and testing.
-Developing business requirements documentation and flow diagrams – this work may expand into technical requirements gathering, design, and systems documentation.
-Actively participating in functional and systems integration unit testing; creating use case scenarios, test plans, and testing results.
-Assisting with testing and track testing results
-Developing and presenting training to Fiscal Services and agency users
-Meeting regularly with customer and project teams and regularly demonstrating quality work output.
-Keeping the Business Owner and ISS technical team informed of key issues that may impact project implementation.

The Sr Systems Analyst (SSA) works collaboratively with leaders and engineering teams in translating end user requirements into functional system designs. The SSA identifies and plans technical solutions, writing documents from a technical perspective, creating application models and keeping up on technical and industry developments. The SSA works on complex products, spanning companywide initiatives, serves as a subject matter expert across multiple products and acts as a mentor to other Systems Analysts throughout Technology.
Manage complex software platforms with critical business requirements for financial, product and compliance requirements. This includes managing configuration, data, user permissions, workflow, reporting, upgrades and processing.
Manage the installation of application patches, configuration as needed for software enablement, releases and enhancements on development, test, disaster recovery and production systems, following IT Change Control guidelines, and develop disaster recovery plans for applications/services. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical/related discipline required, or equivalent work or education related experience. Advanced degree preferred.

Have a working knowledge of theory and usage of Cloud Computing required.
Advanced skills with SQL and/or various relational database concepts and languages required, including multiple methods for analyzing, reporting and validating data at the source (eg. SQL queries).
Strong with multiple change approaches from Agile, Lean, TDD, Waterfall, etc.
Including user story creation, test planning, test execution, CICD pipeline support, production implementation and break-fix production issue resolution required.

Build and Implement data ingestion and curation process developed using Big data tools such as Spark (Scala/python), Hive, Spark, HDFS, Sqoop, Hbase, Kerberos, Sentry and Impala etc.
Handle ingestion of huge volumes data from various platforms for Analytics needs and writing high-performance, reliable and maintainable ETL code Strong SQL knowledge and data analysis skills for data anomaly detection and data quality assurance.
Write shell scripts. Complex SQL queries, Hadoop commands and Git.
Create Database, Schemas, Hive tables (External and Managed) with various file formats (Orc, Parquet, Avro and Text etc.)
Monitor performance of production jobs and advising any necessary infrastructure changes.
Work on Code version using Bitbucket and CI/CD pipeline.
