Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Understands court processes to ensure that problem solutions match user needs in an appropriate manner.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
• Three years of IT support experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Experience onboarding new users to Microsoft 365, with emphasis on Sharepoint, OneDrive, and Outlook as well as answering general user questions;
• Experience migrating end user emails and documents to Outlook and OneDrive;
• Experience with troubleshooting and maintaining Windows Active Directory users, computers and policies, preferred;
• Experience troubleshooting with Microsoft Windows 10;
• Experience troubleshooting Microsoft Office 2016, including exporting/importing mail, calendar and contacts;
• Experience with basic network (wired and wireless) configuration and troubleshooting including ping and trace route, preferred;

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in technology consulting or advisory roles, with at least 10 years in a senior position
• Strong understanding of solution architecture, system integration, and IT security concepts
• Minimum of 5 years of unemployment insurance experience working with a state’s department of labor.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant state and federal regulations affecting government technology systems

ELECT – High Risk Project Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Virginia Department of Elections (ELECT) is seeking a Project Manager for the implementation of the Statewide Voter Registration System (SVRS). SVRS is a statewide voter registration and election management system. This is a high-risk project and will require strict adherence to the requirements in this posting. It is preferred that the PM work a hybrid schedule with minimum of three days per week in the ELECT offices in Richmond, VA, however this is open for discussion.
SVRS is a high-risk project with high visibility and significant complexity, therefore the SVRS Project Manager will be required to work in a fast-paced, potentially stressful environment.

SVRS is currently under contract and undergoing development.
The duties of the SVRS Project Manager will include:
· Daily interaction with stakeholders, project team members, and ELECT staff.
· Attendance at virtual and in-person project meetings daily.
· Management of project performance metrics and recording of data in CTP.
· Adhere to requirements of Commonwealth Project Management Standard.
· Coordination with SVRS contractor project management team for all aspects of project performance.

Network Engineer

• The Field Technology Services team is seeking someone with strong technical skills to manage, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and update software, hardware, and networking as necessary to support the Virginia Department of Corrections’ (VADOC) education, programs, & operations efforts for VADOC sites and facilities.
Field Technology Specialist provides technical advice, guidance, and implementation of complex work items involving educational and DOC Operations software products such as AZTEC, Lexis Nexis, GED Academy, Auto CAD, Teknimedia, Alexandria, Elevate and similar software packages. Provides technical support of complex work problems involving computer technology to include workstation and server hardware, software and operating systems, networking hardware, software and infrastructure, and various operating systems software. Responsibilities include independently installing, updating and management of applications and hardware at the assigned facilities.
All candidates must be comfortable going onsite to DOC facilities. This person will be working within the Field Technology team, so they will be required to travel to different sites. Will do our best to allow remote work when possible, but the nature of the work requires an onsite resource.
Work experience in the computer support field. A combination of desktop, server & network support is required within a fast-paced, delivery oriented agile environment.
This position must be able to perform with minimal direct supervision and may be required to use their home as a base of operation. Significant travel (usually day trips) may be required.

Technical support Analyst

The Help Desk /Tech Support role is responsible for providing computer information systems support via the phone, email or at a customer workstation. Also responsible for triage of incoming new calls and monitoring of existing calls for completion.

The candidate will need to have a basic understanding of Active Directory in a multiple Domain network environment. They must also have a fundamental understanding of Personal Computer and Information Systems operations. The position includes ensuring that department manuals are current and items such as manuals, reference guides, IT procedures, diagrams and other technical documents remain up to date. As necessary, the ideal candidate will assist in the authoring of new troubleshooting procedures, guidelines and diagrams. The candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills for communicating as their primary job will be customer facing. The candidate also must be able to perform in a team environment

Help Desk Tech Job Duties include:

1.Respond to and direct help desk tickets to other technicians for resolution. DGS uses an internal application for ticketing. Exp with Remedy or similar ticketing apps is fine.
2.Perform installation and troubleshooting of PC’s, printers, iPhones and software.
3.Daily inspections of server room and data closets
4.Manage backup tape rotation and cases for offsite pickup
5.Perform network jack activation for correct VLAN
