Miami, 1991. Hall, February 1, 1971. In episode 4, the Blockbuster employee Deb and her friend meet wears a dark blue short-sleeved shirt as part of her uniform. In 1991, employees wore light blue long-sleeved shirts. The short sleeves weren’t worn until 4-5 years later. Followed by Dexter: Resurrection (2025). I went in with pretty low expectations and mostly excited for Resurrection. The beginning of the first episode was awkward with the montages and the CGI cop car, and I thought “oh my god, this is going to flop.” By the end of the first episode, I was hooked, as the actors were perfectly in character and the story was very promising. While we already knew a lot of the backstory, the first episode had a few surprises that added depth to some of the characters we’ve come to know and love, and added some context to the decisions those characters made. Just one episode in and I’m already hooked!
