He’s smart
He’s adorable. He’s Dexter Morgan, America’s favorite serial killer, who spends his days solving crimes and his nights committing them. During Season 8, Angel Batista wasn’t always played by David Zayas.
His for David Zayas Jr
He stands in for his father in some shots, as the two look so much alike. Visible during the first season, Dexter has a large scar on his left side. Later in the second season, the scar moved to his right side, leaving his left side unmarked.

Dexter Morgan: I’ve lived in the dark for a long time. Over the years, my eyes adjusted, until the darkness became my world and I could see. Main Theme SongWritten by Rolfe KentPerformed by Rolfe Kent.
True to the books by Jeff Lindsay
Absolutely brilliant. The visual contrast between the darkness of Dexter’s secret life and the brightness of Miami adds an almost surreal quality. The character development is spot on, slowly bringing out the background so that one can see the development of Dexter’s sociopathic personality and his confusion of human behavior compared to his own.
The fact that he is an expert in blood spatter
Dexter is an actor in his own life; his relationships between coworkers and his personal life are well shown in video media. This is a dark job, but set in the strange world of Miami life is almost believable. The developers of this series should also consult the books of Andrew Vachss.
