Chronology
At the 1965 Newport Folk Festival, a young Bob Dylan brought momentum to the folk scene by going electric and reinvigorating rock as the voice of a generation — defining one of the most defining moments in 20th-century music. According to an October 2020 interview with Collider with cinematographer Phedon Papamichael, the Bob Dylan film project had been put on hold due to studios taking newly announced COVID precautions. And so Papamichael and director James Mangold are moving on to other projects. “I don’t think it’s dead,” Papamichael says of Chalamet’s biopic, “but it’s hard to get away with it in the COVID era because it’s all set in small clubs with a lot of extras in period costumes, so you have a lot of hair and makeup. . So our next project is actually Indiana Jones 5 (2022). Mangold is working on that.”
