IT Systems Specialist

(eNcloud Services LLC has multiple openings in Katy, TX): IT Systems Specialist: Install hardware (servers, workstations, printers) and software used in the lab. Install and update lab-specific software (e.g., LIMS, statistical analysis tools). Ensure the compatibility of software with both the IT infrastructure and lab equipment. Safeguard lab instruments (e.g., scientific measurement tools, automated systems) and ensure the instruments are properly connected and integrated with the IT infrastructure. Provide IT support for specialized lab software, ensuring compatibility with lab equipment and data collection systems. Troubleshoot connectivity between lab instruments and computer systems, ensuring smooth data transfer and storage. Implement security protocols for lab data and systems, including antivirus solutions, firewalls, and encryption. Work on user access controls to lab IT systems, ensuring only authorized personnel can access sensitive data and software. Setup network to ensure reliable internet and intranet access, including both wired and wireless networks. Will work in various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. Requires Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, or related and 5 years progressive experience.
