Ho sentito dire che per capire questa serie bisogna leggere il libro, quindi forse è per questo che la storia non mi è sembrata ricca o coinvolgente (perché mi sono ritrovato distratto da tutto ciò che mi circondava, ed è quello che succede quando la mia capacità di attenzione è bassa). Mentre si può dire che il valore della produzione è stato ottimo, non sembra essere all’altezza del MAX, soprattutto con i loro altri grandi successi.

Well, after seeing it I can say that it without a doubt lived up to my expectations. Your expectations have to be realistic though, if you're expecting something as perfect as the Dennis Villenueve directed films then you're going to be disappointed, but if you go into it just expecting a perfectly paced, fascinating series that will keep you thoroughly invested every episode then you'll love it.
The world building that takes place and the attention to every detail is as good as it gets for a tv show. This series is best watched binged because I can promise when you finish an episode you can't wait to start the next.

Une famille d’éleveurs du Montana affronte d’autres qui empiètent sur leurs terres. Forrie J. John Dutton (Kevin Costner) semble souvent « oublier » son accent du Montana et revient à la voix de SoCal qu’il utilise normalement. Présenté dans WatchMojo : 10 meilleures émissions de télévision d’été qui ne sont pas sur votre radar (2018).
Cette série existe depuis 2018, mais c’est la première fois que j’en vois une. J’ai terminé le premier épisode de la première saison hier soir, il dure près de 90 minutes. Quant à l’introduction de la famille Dutton, nous les voyons exercer une puissante influence dans leur vallée, mais repousser les « attaques ». L’autre d’une réserve amérindienne voisine qui veut récupérer une partie de ses terres et du bétail.
Pour faire face à tout cela et à la taille gigantesque de son ranch, Dutton (qui est authentiquement joué par Kevin Costner, 60 ans) a plusieurs fils cow-boys adultes et un hélicoptère avec un pilote dédié. La raison pour laquelle j’ai regardé le premier épisode de la première saison (sur le flux Peacock) était de compatir avec la famille Dutton, car je regarde actuellement dix épisodes de la nouvelle série de Taylor Sheridan, « 1883 », qui est en quelque sorte une préquelle. C’était (fictivement) en 1883 lorsque la famille Dutton du Tennessee a rejoint un groupe plus important dans un convoi de chariots de Fort Worth, au Texas, vers « quelque part dans l’Ouest ». Encore une fois, tout cela est de la fiction, mais compte tenu de l’âge des hommes et du fait que Costner est né en 1955, son personnage serait probablement l’arrière-petit-fils du patriarche Dutton (joué par Tim McGraw) dans « 1883 ».
Par exemple. « Yellowstone » est une très bonne série, tous les acteurs sont de première classe, la caméra et le son sont excellents. Ce n’est pas seulement un programme dans lequel je pourrais investir et continuer à regarder. Il est difficile de trouver des personnages avec des qualités rédemptrices et je n’aime vraiment pas les programmes qui sont constamment axés sur les disputes et les bagarres et souvent sur les meurtres.
NB – « 1883 » est une très bonne et intéressante série qui dépeint de manière authentique les grandes difficultés de s’enraciner et de voyager à travers des territoires inconnus pour essayer de trouver une nouvelle vie dans un nouvel endroit.

A life-affirming, genre-breaking story based on Stephen King’s novel about three chapters in the life of an ordinary man named Charles Krantz. Tom Hiddleston, Karen Gillan, Chiwetel Ejiofor and David Dastmalchian appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, although none of them appeared together in any scenes. Hiddleston as Loki, most associated with Thor (2011) and the TV series Loki (2021), Gillan as Nebula, most associated with Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), Ejiofor as Baron Mordo from films “Doctor Strange” (2016), and Dastmalchian – Kurt from the first two films “Ant-Man” and Web from Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Mania (2023)..
Summing up, it can be said that Mike Flanagan made a deep, multi-layered, but beautiful film about the value of life. Throughout the film, the narration is conducted, but already from the “third act” everything seen and experienced unfolds beautifully in the “First Act”. Ejiofor and Gillan are great in the third act, but if “The Life of Chuck” should be nominated for anything, it’s for sound.
From the cosmic elements in Act Three to the dance walls in Acts Two and One, Flanagan has done an exceptional job incorporating sound throughout the action. Of course, everyone was focused on Hiddleston and his character, but Tom even mentioned that it was really a team effort in the second act, with Annalize Basso, Hiddleston’s dance partner in the second act, and Taylor Gordon (who is credited as “The Queen of Pockets” ), a street musician, all three combined with their choreographers Mandy Moore and Stephanie Powell really make the dance floor sing. What surprised me was how the first act was with young Chuck, and no one talks about how great the kids were.
Their performances were just as brilliant as the adults’, if not more, when young Chuck receives a very haunting monologue from his grandfather (the incredible Mark Hamill) about certain life choices. The first act really helps to piece together the puzzle that was the third act, where cosmic elements can be repulsive, but it all serves a purpose. The spirit and energy is palpable from start to finish, and with all the actors on board showing everything in their path, Flanagan further establishes himself as one of the greatest directors of our time.
And there are a few cameos in The Life of Chuck, but the inclusion of Scott just touched me to the core. Excellent film.
